This gives a squared look to the tyre. Previously, belts used to be made of rubber-coated fibers but now-a-days they are fabricated from steel fibers. This steel belt helps stabilize the tread, reducing wear. The rigid steel belts reinforce the tread region, giving high mileage and performance. An average steel belt radial tyre gets about 100,000 miles of wear.
